yes it's called Waterloo, have a look on Amazon.co.uk for it. It stars Christopher Plumer and Rod Steiger. An excellent film.

Yes, it's called "Waterloo", starring Rod Steiger as Napoleon and Christopher Plummer as Wellington. Produced by Dino de Laurentiis; I believe it was made in around 1972 and the battle itself lasts for about an hour. It's fab.

The episode of the battle was Sharpe's Waterloo but all the Sharpe series are good if you like the Napoleonic era

There is a film called (unsurprisingly) Waterloo.

It starred Rod Steiger (as Napoleon) and Christopher Plummer (as Wellington). It also starred Orson Welles and Jack Hawkins and was directed by Sergei Bonderchuk. It was (at the time) one of the most expensive flops in movie history, a fact that the producer Dino De Laurentiis put down to the lack of stars (the film was originally planned to have Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole as leads actors but they were never available at the right time).

Another reason given for the films failure at the box office was the hammy performance given by Rod Steiger.

Yes, there's a very good European production with Rod Steiger as Napoleon and Christopher Plummer as the Duke of Wellington, the one who defeated him. It's very elucidative, almost didactical, it's sure fun.
