First balancing the equation we get

2C2H6 + 7 O2 --> 4 CO2 + 6 H2O

This means 2 molecules of Ethane reacts with 7 molecules of oxygen to give 4 molecules of Carbon Di Oxide and 6 moleclues of water.

In other words 2 moles of ethane reacts with 7 moles of oxygen to give 4 moles of carbon di oxide and 6 moles of water.

If we take 4.39 moles of ethane then it should react with
(7/2)*4.39 moles of oxygen which is 15.365 moles of oxygen
(4/2)*4.39 moles of CO2 which is 8.78 moles of CO2
(6/2)*4.39 moles of water which is 13.17 moles of H2O.

specific, i will furnish help to shop face, whether that's in basic terms a caricature face. you % fifty 8 mL of a nil.4M answer: (0.4 mol solute) / (a million L sol'n) x fifty 8 mL x (a million L) / (one thousand mL) This final term is a conversion element. i take advantage of them plenty. If a million L = one thousand mL [by ability of definition] then a million = (a million L) / (one thousand mL) and you would be able to multiply any quantity by ability of a million without changing it. Cancel out the instruments and you will desire to be left with moles of solute. You did no longer % the molecular weight to sparkling up the priority, yet measuring out a mole of aluminum sulphate is dicey company and not utilising a sturdy mole-o-meter, so maximum chemists convert moles to grams: ??? mol solute x (342 g solute) / (a million mol solute) [the molecular weight you calculated; i did no longer verify, even though it style of feels existence like] = ??? g solute What you have been searching for?

2C2H6 + 7O2 ===> 4CO2 + 6H2O

4.39molC2H6 x 7molO2/2molC2H6 = 4.39*7/2 = 15.4molO2

mol C2H6 cancel out leaving mol O2. The 7/2 factor comes from the balanced equation. Similarly:

4.39molC2H6 x 4molCO2/2molC2H6 = molCO2

4.39molC2H6 x 6molH2O/2molC2H6 = molH2O
