I have never understood why people insist on giving their kids names which they will have to spell or explain their whole lives.
I would imagine it's pronounced Tamsin. It's like people who call their kids a nice short name like Zoe then go and spell it with a Y on the end so they'll have to spell it every time they give their name to someone. Pointless.
