This bar shift was originally mine and on saturday she said that she would like to do this particular shift instead, so offered to me and the manager who thought it was set in stone... I text her to confirm yesterday... she said she had the flu so prob wouldn't be able to do it, but would if i was desperate...
Me being a mate, thought bless her she has the flu, no worries will do the shift... i get there where she then decides to have a bottle of wine next to the bar with my flatmate and then go home and have a meal and get pissed at ours!!!
She is wondering what my problem is, I have confronted her, but she is a real ***** if you get on the wrong side of her so will now make my life hell...
What should i do I am working three nights this week??
Nightmare before xmas or what!!

She sounds like a right idiot. Tell her to p*ss off. Even if she tries to make your life hell, you can do without people like that in your life.

What do you mean, she's a ***** if you get on the wrong side of her? I think she has got on the wrong side of you. Her lies are completely intolerable, rude and disrespectful. There is absolutely no way you can continue to be her friend.
Your first move needs to be to get your flatmate on side. Tell her your story and she should see things from your perspective. The next thing you should do is speak to your boss about her erratic behaviour and ability to lie. I think your boss would be interested to know that he/she has such an unpleasant and untrustworthy character working in thier bar and being around theur till. If she is capable of lying to you, she is capable of stealing half a night's takings.
When both the boss and the flatmate are on side confront your cowardly, lying adversary in a calm, clear manner and tell her that you never want to see her again because you do not put up with liars.
Good luck with all that.

it may take a million-7 days for indicators as an example (maximum commonly they coach in a million-4 days). you'll have picked it up out of your buddy, and also you may no longer have or you'll have fought it off. you'll merely could wait and observe. Assuming you do not get the flu, do get a swine flu (novel H1N1) shot once they're obtainable to you.

Learn from this experience and move on.You said the shift was originally yours, you worked it,I assume you will get paid for it.Don't agree to work her shifts for her anymore, and let it go.Is it really worth losing a mate over?If it has happened before it might be different but you didn't relay that in your information.Good luck.

You call this a friend? Think you should step back and look at your friends and YOURSELF. If after you do and you decide you aren't wrong then all I can say is cut your losses and protect yourself in the future by doing your own shifts and don't ask her for another favor and don't do any for her either.

It was your shift originally. I'd put it down to experience. don't swap shifts with her again, and don't do any favours for her, especially if she claims to be ill. Just stay out of her way. If she asks, say you are dissapointed that she wasn't straight with you, and leave it at that.
