It's possible that the board inside the iPod has cracked and the circuit tracings are intermittently making contact. It could be repaired but would likely be quite costly and won't be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If you reconnected all the broken tracings with some very small gauge wire and a soldering iron, you could probably jury rig it back together but this is a poor solution. If you purchased the store's extended warranty they will replace it free of charge.

For more information on the manufacturers warranty, see:

Pay particular attention to the section entitled "EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS" and read the second paragraph, "This warranty does not apply...to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse..."

Oh my gosh !!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what I call a terrible expensive accident. You should take it back to the place you bought it to claim a new one. Use the guarantee services, that's what it's for.
I suggest you say it's freezing up but don't say you accidentally drop it. Check your guarantee sheet, before to see if it covers that kind of damage. For the money paid for it, if I was you, I will get a new one.

supply it a on an analogous time as. My daughter enable her iPOD fall too. It took her the entire day to get it on. basically save pressing the buttons interior the midsection around it and it will at last activate.

No I don't think so, but if your warranty is still intact you can go to the apple store and they will give you a new one. Good luck i know how you feel.
