Because the polls are so against him, it has steamrolled. Now they don't have to be brave and think for themselves.

I am a Conservative and what I have seen in Iraq is an effort to make the world safer. Every event and mission has some level of success and failure and in the end I hope the the success is greater than the failure. Going into war you never know which you will have more of but that is no reason to tuck your tail between your legs and run. This country was built by people who were willing to fight for what is right even when it would be easier to hide and I have had enough of the cowards I see here now. Has the effort been perfect well no but neither was WW2 or The Revolutionary War, or The Civil War or WW1 or any other war in history. The war is for good reason and even if it is not going great the US needs its citizens to stand behind her. I have served my country and would gladly do so again if called but most of the people I see crying about how bad this war is are the same people who believe it is wrong to spend money on military, or to offend people even if they are criminals.

If you wish to understand - conservatives have been recognizing it. Part of the conservative ideology is non-interventionist foreign policy (but a strong military). Neo-conservatives, however, believe in interventionism. They are also blind followers of their leaders and generally do not like to think for themselves. They are the ones that have not been willing to recognize the failure that has become Iraq.
A real conservative (not this neo-con crap) would have invaded correctly, if for some reason he did. He would have actually sent the amount of troops the generals asked for. Neo-conservative philosophy, however, has ruined the respectable (even in disagreement) ideals of conservatism.

Well my friend, those people have competely different eyes and minds.
First they accept the number of casualties in their people for what you can call "the greater goal". But then and while the number of casualties keeps getting higher and higher, they start to see what we normal people see.
They are not like us, they can survive knowing that people are getting killed, but when they feel that the number of casualities is gonna move them away from their positions, they start to act.
So my friend, never ever trust what they say. They are lairs all the time.

they have demonstrated a blind loyalty to their party over the last 6 years, and feel that to question anything is unpatriotic. That is, unless of course, the president is a democrat. THEN it is OK to question everything, investigate and impeach, veto spending bills, etc...funny they have had NO investigations (even though MANY scandals and mishandlings have been reported) and they haven't vetoed a SINGLE spending bill. Conservatives my a ss...

what? that terrorism isn't real and its best for america to pussyfoot around this situation and appologize for 9/11? Give me a break. America is strong but the libs don't like it that way. They want us to fork our sovereignity over to the UN and surrender immediatly. If more people saw things like the libs we'd be signing off to pray to the east about now...
