I am running for the position of president in a small organization. I am the only person running, so I know that I'll be granted the position. After the voting, I have to give a speech. What are some things that I can say other than..."thanks for voting for me"...(cause they had no choice anyway!)?

Give the outline of your vision for the future of the organization and reiterate how much you hope to accomplish as President. You might want to state something about how you can't do it alone and welcome their input, etc.

remind them of the things you stand for, let them know that you won't let them down..and thank them for voting for you..afterall..they could have just not voted for anyone..even though you were the only choice
