How many hours and/or days do you have to leave a Tampax in to get TSS?

Is TSS rare? What is the rate of girls haveing it in the U.S. If anyone knows, will you please respond. If any of you ever had it will you please share your story. Thanks

Your best option is to never leave a tampon in longer than 8 hours. Change it frquently and you won't have to worry about Toxic Shock Syndrome.
