Useless Answers to serious questioons?

Why is there so many NUMPTIES on the net who provide useless answers to serious questions?

Apart from the points, a lot of people cannot read a question properly. And, if they do, they're so intellectually challenged that it makes their heads hurt, so they say 'Yes', 'No', or 'What?'

I know what a Numpty is, by the way - but you have come from a certain corner of the British Isles to know that one! Shall we just keep all the Numpties guessing (because they could suss it out by reading the question properly)?

Most peoples data bases are not very trustworthy.
Having read many answers given, I have come to the conclusion, that often the bad info is not a deliberate intent to misguide, but because that is really what they 'believe'.
The conclusion, don't use any info given here without checking it against other info. In other words, get second and third opinions, or even better, use it as hints to additional info.
I myself have found my own answers to be less than optimal at times, and have used that to improve my knowledge base.

I would guess some people are looking for a little humour, and some questions are so unbelievably stupid they deserve a scarcy answer- even if the most stupid question is one thats never asked. Sometimes we need a bit of humour in our lives. Many people also like the sound of their own voice even if they arn't the brightest bulbs in the box...

It seems that this platform is used for entertainment more than it is for serious inquires.
To bad, when there is a serious question, you get mostly bogus answers.

Because they don't care if you actually want to know something or if you are serious. All they want to do is earn points*

I agree with others, they are points raking gits. I have occasionally put in some stupid answers, but not to any serious question.
