I am a licensed professional counselor but would like to add the registered play therapist to my alphabet. I live in Texas and am willing to travel for the seminars but not the classes.

I'm not real sure about distant learning opportunities in play therapy. However, your local children's hospital child life department may be a good place to start. I currently work with play therapists and child life therapists where volunteers are given experiences in those career fields, as well as interns. I don't know if you've considered this or not, but you may fit the eligibility requirements to sit for the child life certification exam which is related to a play therapist. In addition, there are numerous good books on play therapy and also courses in clinical psychology that cover various aspects of play therapy and child therapy, in general.
