Yes, liberals would like us to leave and bring everyone back home. Then we could leave the terrorize a very large oil producing country to control and use to buy more weapons to use against us.

From what I've seen, yeah, they want us to pull out. All the libs talk about is an exit strategy, how to get out of Iraq.
They NEVER talk about winning the war, just getting out.
Consequences?
Positive:
No more American deaths in Iraq.
Negative:
Iraq will fall into complete chaos.
US will lose face around the world.
All the US troops that died will have been for nothing.
Score one for Al Qaeda because Osama said we'd lose in Iraq.
Our oil supply will be in jeopardy.
Middle East will become unstable.
We'll lose a potential ally in the War on Terror.

Face it ladies and gentlemen, we are in this for the long haul. Till its done, for better or worse. If ya'll don't want to go over there, fine. But there are plenty of us in the military that are volunteering for service and volunteering for Iraq. We'll do it, and proudly.

this may be the first serious question I think I've seen you ask :P so ok, here we go... the "Liberals want to fail" line is actually just election year propaganda... both sides do it and it confuses the hell out of people... this is closer to a generalized liberal view... we think the war was a mistake and that Bush is doing a terrible job.. well we can't go back in time so we have to make the best out of a horrible situation.. making the best out of that situation does not include doing nothing.. what we want the MOST is to get our troops home as quickly and safely as possible... that may mean getting someone else to police, it may mean flooding the region.. it may mean pulling out all troops now... it will take a little time and actually listening to the experts to say for sure (something Bush has failed to do) .. so we aren't saying.. hey, it has to go down like this... we are saying ... lets find the best way to get them home safely and quickly.. whatever it may be.

I believe they want to do anything to oppose the current administratiuon. If Bush wants to stay, they want out. Now that they have achieved certain power in Washington however, I think they will begin to show a little more responsibility in what they say.

The other thing to remember is that they must appeal to the fringe elements of their supporters. These may be the appeasers and peace-at-any-price crowd.

It's all about getting re-elected. Time for term limits.

It's too late. Ole Bushwhacker has put us in a lose-lose position. We need to leave, let them sort it out themselves. It's gonna blow up sooner or later, better to get it over with now. Maybe the chaos that ensues will finally get us off of our lazy butts to fully develop other forms of energy so we don't need to bother with that part of the world anymore. Once they know they have to sort themselves out, they will. As long as we are there, they have a crutch and a Bogey man to point at.

Some do, some don't. I am a liberal and I don't think we can just leave a country to destroy itself. What we need is new leadership and a UN that actually helps the people who need it most (i.e. Darfur & Iraq)

NO! You can not just pull out. If we just pull out then you can bet terrorism will strike again on US soil.

Most terrorist believe that a grave wrong was done to them. They strike because want attention to their plight. If we just pull out without restoring the country you will have terrorism again.

I think we should just pull back to the borders so that there will not be any outside interference and let the Iraqis have their "civil war".

I say, pull out. Screw the consequences. Screw the Iraqi people. If they attack us again, we nuke them. No more Iraq.
