i am originally from indiana but have been here for MANY years and this is what my family back home says-are they right?

YES YES YES....
It IS the land of fruits and nuts - I've lived here for almost 10 years, but I grew up in Michigan. People out here are INSANE. They don't know how to drive, they get in accidents when it RAINS - I'd shudder to think what would happen if it snowed. They're always in a hurry ANY time they get behind the wheel. And they think that the holiday rush is a literal thing...
I used to think that people who live in California were always laid back, easygoing, and moved slowly about everything they did -
BOY WAS I WRONG....

My cousin in Georgia calls this "the left coast." I think it's the best coast. The name callers are just jealous because we have an ocean and great beaches, mountains, deserts, places like Yosemite, Death Valley, wine country, Hollywood, and the central valley.
I love our state, fruits and nuts and all!

I have met lots of fruits and nuts everywhere I have lived...not just here in Cali. However Santa Cruz is a bit nutty.

I believe that we have our fair share of "fruits and nuts" her in Ca, but I also believe that we also have our fair share of beautiful women and great places to see!
