My daughter's class at daycare is having a Christmas party and most of them can't eat candy yet, so I was wondering what I could put in a treat bag for them. The older classes all got cookies and candy, but I think that would be innappropriate for this class. There is only one other child besides mine who can eat solid foods like cookies and stuff (and we try not to let ours have cookies unless they are Gerber Graduates or something like that). I have thought about little soft toys, but I need a few more ideas.

When I picked my 8 month old up from Sunday School (nursery) the other day, he had a "gift bag" that included a little stuffed toy mouse with a santa hat and one of those bIg candy canes. I did let him suck on the end of the candy cane for a few minutes (of course with me holding it)....he loved it. Hope that helps!

Great question!

I think one treat is ok: a candy cane. It really represents Christmas, and a few licks on a Candy Cane isn't that bad. Plus, the parents can take it away and once they feel the child has had enough. Or, if the child is still too young, they can take it home and put it on the tree!

Good luck!

Soft toys great idea. How about bottles wash clothes pacifiers. just think what the moms might need for their child and think back to that age with your child what you always needed. most of these things are only a dollar or so. good luck

If this is in easy terms adults, do no longer do manage bags. this is pointless. I went to a 1st birthday approximately 3 weeks in the past and there have been no bags. keep those for whilst he turns 5 and has different childrens there.

0-1 year olds can have rattles and chew toys. They aren't as fussy as the older ones :)
