My brother owns a tuning company and i have been lucky enough to experience first hand Lambo Murcielago (the first in the country with e-gate), Both the F360 that my bruv owned and several customers F430s, and have regularly driven his 996 Turbo and now his 997 Turbo.

I have found that the Ferarri's if anything are too attention grabbing with everyone snapping pics of you with their phone as though you are a Footballer or something and the appeal of this soon wears off. The Ferarri power delivery is brutish, it is an amzing experience when the engine roars behind your head and the tyres leave thick pirreli p zero prints halfway up the road but it lacks a subtlety and elegance.

Lambo's are not designed to be driven by mere mortals. If you own one expect to need an entourage of people waving hand signals and saying whoa whoa every time you try to edge it up or down even the slightest bump that may injure that gorgeous but stupidly low body work.

However the looks are amazing and now that VAG are involved in the development the power delivery and dynamics of the Lambo are fantastic.

Of the lot i am with my brother on this one you can only get the full Package with the 911 Turbo. The 996, X50 powerpack, black, full carbon interior was an absolute beast. My brother tuned it and it was regularly featured by EVO, Purely Porsche, Top Gear and plenty of other mags. You can probably find it by searching for DMS Tuned 911.

The 996 has now gone, sad days indeed....however the 997 is here and the bar has been seriously raised! The response from the Turbo is phenomenal, i took it for a sprint round the roads near the New Forest and my heartrate didn't return to normal for almost three days. It is a truly exhilerating ride. The PCCB decelerate you like nothing i have ever known.

So final answer would definitely be the 997 911 Turbo.

Audi or the corvette do not come into it, if you were to have an aston surely you would go for the db9 not its baby bro, the Gallardo will give you a bad back after a bit so it whas to be the 911 turbo or the f430 and its then a choice which do prefer out of ferrari or porsche but you didnt mention the bentley gt which realy should be considored. your right decisions decisions. If only we hadd the money?

The 911 Turbo will be the most satifying car to drive, but also the most common.

Where about are you? Are there any other cars of this type in your area or in areas you are likely to frequent? These are the real questions you should be asking.

You also need to ask are these new or second hand. If they are new then you can broaden you field even further by looking at 2nd hand cars like the Murcielago and other exotica.

Personally, I'd have a second hand 911 Turbo (996) AND an Audi RS4 for popping down the shops.

I've got a DB9, but I would love a Gallardo, but I just can't do it. It's just too flashy and stands out too much - you would be worried about parking it in public as some saddo low-life would be sure to key it if it were left in the street - for some reason they seem to respect the Aston. As for the 911 Turbo - that's a bit of a woman's car - my wife wanted a cabriolet one for Christmas, but she drives the Aston all the time and I persuaded her that it wouldn't be worth it and why doesn't she have some new saucepans instead (I wished!!). As for the Vette, it's American and, although I haven't seen one in the flesh, with a couple of notable exceptions, American cars are crap.

I'd have an Aston Martin DB9 because they have perfect performance sound incredible and looks like sex on wheels, but from the list above I would have the Gallardo because the Ferrari would make you look like a flash git and make you look like you know nothing about cars, the Porsche just boring because they all have the same design.

LOL!! What the f*ck? Why in the hell would you want to do that? No, the 911s are not bad for mileage. The manual gets 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. The Tiptronic S gets 15 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. Besides, if you can afford a 911 Turbo, you can afford the fuel. Jesus Christ. If you want a hybrid Porsche, then wait for the hybrid Cayenne to come out.

I've ALWAYS wanted a 911. When you put it up next to a Lamborghini or Ferrari, it's tough, but I'm still going with the Porsche. British racing green.

None of them - crass, vulgar nob-extensions that are more common than the owners realise, in both senses of the word. No class what so ever ('cept the Audi)

Noble - now there's a car, or a Bristol, or possibly that mental Swedish thing - Koenigsegg CCX.

Now put your Matchbox toys away and go do some homework.

The only car I would bother with is the ZO6 Corvette.

Lambo Gallardo, Its all around better, the Z06 vette is the best bang for the buck though, but you are just dreaming anyway and price is no object, go for the priciest one
