It's not fair really, is it?! (Not that I want to of course).
But women generally have the upper hand when it comes to the dating game anyway... and make-up allows them to enhance their looks further (or even transform, in some cases) giving them even more of an advantage.
While us men just have to make do with what we already got. So why?

It makes it easier for them to pull us blokes, if we looked at them in the morning without make up you wouldnt take half of them home...he he.

Men used to wear makeup... Both men and women in ancient Egypt wore makeup, which also held practical use in addition to being attractive.
For television and theater men wear make up, but I don't know why they don't in regular life. It's fine for covering up blemishes. However, Goth men sometimes wear make up, and I think that looks fine.
Men also used to wear high heels. At first is was for riding purposes, but then it was for fashion. The Sun King in France even wore them to show off his muscular legs.

Simple. Women have to rely more on their looks to meet a suitable partner. Make up can enhance a woman's appearance making it easier to attract a man. Men however, tend to rely more on their assets as a way of attracting a partner, stable job, nice car, own house etc... Looks are important for men of course but not as important as they are for women.

Our society allows women to escape reality. If they want to have sex but don't want the responsibility of that action, society allows them to go kill their baby in their wombs. If they aren't as attractive as they wish they were, they can wear a mask of make up to hide behind. If they have 50/50 custody of children, the man still has to pay child support to her and she pays nothing when its his turn to have the children. They want equality but don't have to register for a draft like men do. Make up is a silly waste of time and money. But if our society is going to let people act however they wish, then you are going to see this more and more.

Make-up is false advertisement, so are push up bras, high heels, etc, etc.
What happens when a man finally sees a chick without all fo the "enhancements"
I prefer to go all natural, except I do love heels, they are so fun.

Hey, y'all started this - only paying attention to the prettiest women & setting us females up in some kind of "competition" for males. It's part of what we do to attract a mate - no different than your displays of manly strength. Get over it

Because men turn round and say things like "ugh she's a bit rough!" If they have no make up on whereas it's "okay" for men to look like crap.

coz men dont have the DTS....(dog turd syndrome) the older they are the easier to pick up. After a night on the town would you really want to check your prize or just sneak out?
