What dvds does he like? I got my dad the godfather boxset for £18 last year which he liked. Chocolates with alcohol in them? Does he like music dvds? Pink Floyd's 'Pulse'? The Eagles music dvd?
I am going on the basis of what my dad likes, but hopefully you will get some ideas!!
Begbie's idea (www.iwantoneofthose.com) is good as well, I have gotten a few of my chrismas pressies off there.

Does he drink? Alcohol is always great. Or anything for a bar he may have. Maybe a dartboard or a new pool cue. On the other hand, think about something people usually don't get at Christmas... things for summer! Like a new cooler for the lake or something! You could even fill it up as if you were ready to go... some chips, dip, sandwiches, somethin' to drink, some suntan lotion, portable radio, it'd be fun and would probably put a smile on his face if he's into that... hahaha... I got my dad's idea for next year!

What does he like? Gift cards are great. Find his favorite store and give him a gift card. Does he need a new watch? Wallet? A warm robe and slippers? Does he like to read?- A gift card to barnes adn Noble. Does he like coffee? A Starbucks gift card. Personalize it by figuring out what he would never get for himself, but what he needs. Good luck!

I've got my Dad the new Beatles Album cos he likes them. Is your Dad in to any particular music? Has he got any hobbies or interests? You could buy him something to do with those. Failing that then beer & chocolates never fail. It's the thought that counts anyway.

Get him.....hum....how bout a paper shreder if he doesnt have one already...or if he works in a an office i recommend one of the things on a website ill link below- my bf loved stuff from their. Otherwise, maybe a nice watch, or a new wallet, how bout an ipod!
Or go extereme and buy him a laptop if you can afford it. You could get him a printer/ scanner/ copier.

Yeah. i might say the laptop itself is fantastic, for what you opt to do with it. the only draw back, it relatively is a undertaking to every person getting a clean laptop, is the Vista working gadget. yet different then that, i might say your getting a tremendously good laptop. Compaq is a ingredient of HP, that are the suitable style of laptop you've. far greater suitable then dell.

Tickets to a sporting event...NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB...I once got my father's car detailed...He loved it...Costs about $100...makes the car look like new. Gift Certificate to his favorite resaurant. A car starter...

My dad usually appreciated pyjamas, slippers, nearly anything. If your dad has worn clothes, there you go!
Otherwise, think of what he liked in the past, and start getting creative.

The real question is what does he like? My dad is into sports, so I usually get him some kind of memorabilla thing for one of his favorite teams.
