While optimism is good, it will be asking too much for a series win by India, as this is the first time India have managed to win
a test match against South Africa in South Africa. It will be a
herculian task for India to win the series against South Africa and if they do so, another history will be created.
However, if they perform the way they performed in the first test,
even series will will not be impossible.

It will be very tough! South Africa has the best fast bowling attack on the planet and if we lose our openers early we will struggle to post a good total without these three - especially Dravid and Laxman. Yuvraj has yet to establish himself in the test arena and can be replaced but the other two are the middle order stalwarts that have rescued India several times over the last decade. Having said that, this may be a blessing in disguise as the newcomers will have the opportunity to show their skill, temperament and maturity. Murali Vijay looks a good middle order test prospect and will get an extended run and it would be interesting to see if they bring Badrinath and/or Kohli in there as well. If this series highlights future Indian talent, it will be worth more than if they win or lose.

Yes- Sreesanth looked lively and Ganguly & Laxman batted well in the 1st test, and SA have had no success batting except for Ashwell Prince, a lone star at the moment. The only SA bowler in form seems to be Shaun Pollock, which is no surprise.

gr8 performance from da bowlers...but i think sa can still bat better than india..especially if prince gets a century..lol...we all none of the tests are going to be drawn unless it rains 4 bout three days..because both teams suck at batting so they wont survive 5 days...that was indias 1st ever test won in sa..before this sa was the only team in the world that india hadnt won a test match at the opponents home!! I THINK SA WILL PULL IT OFF!!!

I think they have a wonderful opportunity to win the next test and get it over with in flying colors. I'm sure they are going to do that.
