The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, COPO 9560 (COPO= Corporate Office Production Order). There were only 69 made in 1969. Had an all aluminum 427 and a 4 speed. No emblems. No fancy wheels (dogdish hubcaps). Most didnt have heat. No gauge package. A regular sleeper. Looked like a stripped down plain jane V6. Until you started it and whooped the pants out of anything ("Rated" at 425 HP, actual test show over 500)

Easy. The pinnacle of automotive engineering and design excellence was the 1990-93 Volvo 240. Everything has been leading up to it since the beginning and the entire car industry has been in a slow, steady decline ever since. End of story.

Very very subjective question, but it might just be the Bugatti Veyron.
According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Veyron),
"The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is currently the most powerful, most expensive, and fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a proven top speed of over 400 km/h (407.5 km/h or 253.2 mph)."

Chevrolet Impala Super Sport 1963 -- trim, fleet, sporty, decent HP for muscle props, but made to haul a family around, too.

I switched from a mazda, chevy, ford, and the toyota is my fav. they are made to put miles on and the last one I had, i put 200,000 miles on it. the only reason i traded, is because a tornado came and I didnt have insurance on it and it go beaten up with hail and debree.I have a '04 model now and I love it!
