Send me a message if you want full details, but the main base is that Atticus, Boo, and Tom, are only doing good to the world. A mockingbird olny creates good music for us to listen to, as Miss Maudie says. There is no reason to kill a mockingbird for that, but atticus, boo, and tom have been persecuted so much...

Personally I don't really think that he was a 'good parent' because he endanger himself and his children by taking that case. And they hurt for it.
However, I think the really showed the pro and cons of innocence, the cause and affect of actions right or wrong.
since you are studying human behavior.... maybe (this would be a lot of work) do a paper on both sides and why each party took the side they took.
some people mindless followed the crowd...why? protection, ignorance, blind hatred, etc...
some choose to make a stand....was it wise? (remember to set aside your own opinions on the action the characters took, that means for the paper became A-moral)
then go the opposite counterpart.....
have fun with the paper and don't take a classic stand on the classic book, be fresh & bold and get noticed.
Best wishes,
PS> I wrote a few papers on this book

Atticus Finch, one of the protagonists of To Kill a Mockingbird, provides his children and neighbors with an example of courage and strength.
You could go on to talk about how his is willing to defend Tom Robinson, how he doesn't usually use guns (except for with the rabid dog), etc. Basically, how he is willing to be true to himself and not let the social norms determine his choices.

Do you know what Thesis means? How could anyone know what is a good thesis for you, when you are the one that have to write this essay? The thesis should be what you wanted to write about. You are the only one who could come up with the best thesis for yourself.
