how do you print a database made with microsoft access as a form in columnar form?

You use the REPORT section of the database to create a report for printing in the style you want.

The easiest way is to click 'Create a Report using a Wizard'.
It will walk you through selecting the table, or information you wish to have in the report as well as the style of the outprinted report.

The "Page Setup" option under "File" will give you the option to print to a number of columns.
It will split the details area of the report in the columns. But take note if the information shown is bigger than the field size, the field will be cut down
