i just got married to arabian guy 3months ago...
soon ill be movin back to his hometown DUBAI..
i need tips how to adopt his culture

I have been married to an arabian man for 6 years, and I now live with him in saudi arabia.
First the family situation is much different here than in america they are much closer to their families here there is lots of visiting people and having them over to visit you. Good advice is to always be friendly and smile.
They will be very happy if you try to learn arabic try to learn some basic phrases from your husband before you go and once you are there just ask ask ask.
Also ask his mom (if she is alive) how to make their coffee or "Qahwa" and maybe some traditional food. It will make them happy to be able to teach you and your husband will be happy that you want to learn his culture. Remember that his mom is probably very close to him and his sisters and they might have a little bit of a hard time having a new woman around just be super friendly and i'm sure they will fall in love with you.
Be willing to try new things and keep an open mind.
I've never been to Dubai but I heard it's really cool i'm sure that you'll have a great time.
In response to the answer above in which it says you will be a slave forever that couldn't be further from the truth...women here are treated like queens and are totally spoiled!

Be yourself let everything come naturally. I'm sure you'll learn in time and Dubai is beautiful.Relax don't think to much. Obviously he loves you for you. Never change who you are for anyone adapt to environments and situations only.

i live in dubai for 3 months. you have to eat with your hands, make arabian coffee and serve it to his faily. and dont worry about the house, they have european villas.
