Makes me feel in Awe as to the wastness of the universe and how insiginificant we are and all the possibilites out there.
It also makes me think of all the people that are ignoring the skies and all the ancient ppl that developed mythologies re constellations.

When I was younger I would lay on our roof and look up at the night sky for hours...until I felt that I could understand the magnitude of it and the enormity of it, and I would feel very small and hollow inside and wonder if humans were all alone and why and how we came to exist. Sometimes it would make me cry, and laugh and think that I was looking at the same stars that Gallileo saw, that Colombus udes to navigate his ship, and all the rest of those kind of things, then I would fall asleep until I heard my mother shouting for me. As an adult Ilook up at the sky now and still get all those same feelings, but instead of feeling small, I feel incredibly large and amazingly powerful and blessed. It can still make me cry. When I am particularly troubled I will drive out in to the middle of nowhere where you can see all the stars outside of the city lights, lay on the hood of my car and look at the sky for hours, just to get some perspective on my life and how temporary it, and most of my problems can be.

All those stars are actually Suns like ours. Many with planets going around them. I wonder how many of them have individuals living their lives and what it's like for them.
