tangier is an oooold city too, you can found momuments remaining to Roma's ages
during your stay in Tangier, you can make a lot of excursions, to the Rif mountain, the wonderful city of chefchaouen, where all houses are in white and blue, near a beautiful water fall "ras el ma"

Tangier is a great city and a good base for daytrips in the area. It can be quite an intense city, though, particularly if it's your first taste of Morocco.

I wouldn't choose Tangier as the first city in Morocco. If you do go there, allow yourself some time to "settle in", as it were. Spend at least three days there to get to know the place a little.

If, however, you go screaming mad on your first day, your safety valve is called Asilah. This quiet little town is only an hour's train ride away from Tangier.

I have been to quite a few places in Morocco and Tangier happens to be one of them. If I can redo things again, I prob will skip Tangier and spend more time in other Moroccan cities. Being a woman who worn decent length of clothes, I was whisted at and chased by old and young to buy things. I had little kids tug on my pants trying to sell me packs of tissue. I would not recommend Tangier, however, do go see other cities in Morocco. They offer you more to see of the true Morocco.

Hi to all,

I went to Morocco this summer for the first time and certainly not the last. I went to Meknes first because that is where my love is from. I of ocurse flew to Casablanca, then went to Meknes. In my stay, i was taken to Tangier and it was such a beauty... The weather was great and people were outstanding. I truly recomend anyone to go. I am from NYC and trust me it was fun, they have tons of nigt clubs, bars, casinos and extremely warm people as well as fun people.
