Baby's teeth move a lot before they come up. Yes 5-6 months is typical for teething. However, babies have been known to teeth earlier and later at that.

You should probably call your pediatrician with the information you've provided here to see if she things it's thrash or not. My child never had thrash, so I don't know the symptoms. To me it sounds like a tooth, but I'd call the pediatrician to be sure.

Babies can get teeth that young. A hard white spot on her gums probably means teeth are coming in, but it still may be awhile before they break through. "Thrash" or "thrush" is a fungal infection. It usually coats their tongue white and makes their mouth sore. You will need to take her to the doctor if it is thrush.

It could be that her teeth are starting to come in. Does she seem to have any discomfort from it? Some babies do teeth really early. Occasionally a baby is even born with a tooth.

Or it could be thrush. Does she have any signs of a diaper rash too? If you are nursing, do you have any signs of a yeast infection (either vaginal or on your nipples)?

Thrush... it's an oral yeast infection. Your doctor can prescribe a medicine to clear it up. It's harmless, but annoying. The medicine can take several days to work, and it tastes AWFUL, but be patient... it will work eventually. Your little one is not in any pain, so don't worry about that. In the meantime, make sure you wash your nips really well if you're nursing, and sterilize bottle nips.

Sounds like a tooth to me, some babies are born with teeth and those who are not can get them anytime after birth. All babies are different but if you are concerned I'd take her to her doctor.

Yes sounds like thrush to me too. Take her to the dr and they will give her some meds. Nothing to worry about, very common.

I would tell the doctor when you take her in for a check up, it probably is a tooth and she is just getting them early.

if it is hard then it is quite possibly a tooth.
babies can actually be born with teeth.
There is no timetable.
