Why is it that people seem to give more freely during the holidays than any other time of the year...?

shouldn't we be generous throughout the year? I mean, Christmas...the season for giving, but why only now, not always?

For some people it is a tax right off, that is why a lot of celeb types gives so generously around this time of the year. They can claim it as a charity.
