I do think that to some people Christmas has lost its meaning but to others it's still the same. Why don't we all try to forget all of the negative corporate things about Christmas and try to remember all of the good things about it. For example, being with family and friends.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

completely.... it makes me sad every time I go to buy a gift for someone because I think of the people that don't have things or enough money to have a place to live or shoes on their feet. Next year I'm thinking about forgoing the gifts and volunteering. I think that America needs to get back into the real spirit of Christmas.

Yes it has. It's seems to be all about buying expensive presents and going down the Pub. Having Parties etc. Christmas is celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is a time of giving and sharing. Seeing lost friends and being with family. Remembering people who are less fortunate than yourself. Remembering the happy times spent with loved ones that are no longer with us (have died).

It has not loas all meaning, becasue the essentials are still deep in the masses, no matter how much the corporate world tries to muck it up... People, Company, rejoicing, celebrating. That has not yet changed deep within.

Definitly Christmas has lost all meaning. It's all about maximum profit.

I love Christmas though. I'm not religeous but do I really enjoy getting together with all of my family and Christmas is a great time because everyone is really giddy and fun.

I think people are regaining the old pre-Christian spirit of this particular season. I think the spirit of Christmas needs to celebrated at the right time of whenever Christ was born, then it becomes a proper celebration of Christ's birth.

It may be all about the money and the gifts, but its still a time when people all get together with their families and old friends meet up.
When you phone someone you havent spoken to for ages, so their still is a little bit of tradition.
