I am 11wks pregnant. My 8mos old is about the same weight. I decided to stop carrying her in the carseat because she has gotten heavier and it is uncomfortable to lug that thing around. plus, it's bulky and I had a hard time maneuvering down our stairs...we live in a 2br basement apartment.
It's gotten easier just to take her out of the carseat and leave it in the car. If your concerned, there is nothing wrong with stopping. If something does happen to your baby, at least you won't feel bad that there was something you were unsure about but kept doing.
Best of luck with your two little ones. I hope it'll be fun. Both of us are in the same boat.
Hopes for healthy pregnancies for both of us!!

There should be no harm unless you have a history of problems with pregnancy. My kids are a little less than two years apart and I carried the older one alot when I was pregnant. I didn't have a problem till I pulled a muscle in my stomach and even that only lasted a few days. If you are that worried try the infant carriers that go on your back, your back can handle much more weight anyway.
To help your 7 month old build muscles to sit up better you may want to increase the amount of tummy time. This will build neck, back and stomach muscles.

there are moms that are pregnant with their second child and still pick up their 25 pound first child!
you are fine. the reason you struggle is b/c those things are akward to carry. i am pretty strong and i have trouble carrying my son in his infant carrier. it's a bit heavy, but it's mostly the awkward-ness of it.
so, when you can use her stroller or get an infant carrier that straps to you, or a baby sling. those things will help, i promise.
take care!

You do have to be more careful carrying heavier things when you're pregnant but at 6 weeks, I think you're fine. Take more precautions when you start having an obvious "bump", say starting at about 4 months, because you're abs won't be as strong while they're being stretched out...

It shouldn't be a problem. I carried my 35 lb 3 year old around when I was pregnant with my daughter. Just be carfeul and try to avoid carring anything to much as you get farther along.

I would say that you should consult your doctor about this matter, he can provide a way better answer than anyone on yahoo! answers. If you don't have an OB/GYN that you consult regularly, there are free clinics in every city. These clinics are provided by the government, they may not have a doctor on call but there is always a nurse there who could provide an answer.

this ealy in the pregnancy its prolly not too dangerous. Though just to be safe ask your doctor what is a safve limit to how much you should lift and when you should limit yourself. Good luck, hope your baby come out as perfectly as my 3 have :)

no, not yet, carrying anything under 40 lbs won't affect u in any way. After the first trimester though, you might want to take her in the stroller from then on

i have a 3 y/o that weighs 40 pounds and i have picked him up my whole pregnancy.the only reason ive put a halt to it lately is because it hurts my back now!unless you have a high risk pregnancy its safe to do the things you did before you got pregnant until they become uncomfortable to you!
