exhaust valve is 0.40mm cold
inlet valve is 0.35mm cold

The 2.9 should have hydraulic adjusters (even though the nut and screw are on the rocker arm) so the clearances should need adjusted in normal service. They were always a bit tappetty.

Hi there, I just checked autodata cd rom and LEE H has given you the right info these settings MUST be carried out on a cold engine.

20 thou is a good guess. It aint that critical. Too big is better than too small. If it rattles like a tin can when its hot, close em up 5 thou.

look in your shop manual...15 bucks at pts store...or call dealer ... they know...
