GCSE Maths should be easier for you now with your life experience.

Go for it, if you want something badly enough it will happen for you

There were entries into PGCE without Maths provided you were able to pass the individual university's own Maths exam. This then allowed you onto the course and presumably once on the need for the GCE or GCSE was eliminated.
I know Leeds University allowed this as reently s 4 years ago but I think you should "shop" around the courses and check.

No teachers always need to have a GCSE in English, Maths and sometimes science if they want to be a primary school teacher at grade C.

You will have to complete your GCSE maths and then apply to do your PGCE.

Good luck

I'm currently studying my PGCE in further education (2 subjects). I HATE maths with a passion! Therefore I do not have GCSE Maths.....................
So yes, you can, whether my University picked up on this matter, that is a different story..........

Good luck cause you're going to need it with teenagers!!

You have a science so you should be OK but the uni might ask you to take GCSE science while on your PGCE. You are going to be teaching some science so really you do need it.

To gain a PGCE now u have to pass a Lit and Numeracy test. If you pass you will get the cert, otherwise you will not.

It will be posible to get on the course without a gsce maths just make sure they are aware you are going for it with the new tests.

Just as a footnote the numracy and lit tests will be compulsary in 2010

You can do the PGCE without maths GCSE, but you will not be able to gain qualified teacher status without it. This effectively means that you would be able to teach post 16 students in your degree subject (or related subjects), but you would NOT be able to teach in schools.
