I think if you have had strong feelings, then it's very hard to do that. We try to learn from our pasts and attempt to move on, but sometimes, just sometimes, someone affects us in a way that makes it feel almost impossible to "leave alone". I'm not referring to stalking, but that feeling that leaves you to ask why or a number of other questions. Best thing to do, step back and remember that life goes on.

when i was younger, no, i couldn't. i always had to have the last word and i always had to be right. since i've gotten older, and hopefully wiser, i've realized what things in life really matter and as you put it, to leave well enough alone.

Not usually. If something's lying there, I'll probably poke it with a stick. I'm an agitator much of the time.

Absolutely. This a lesson that was not easily learned for me. But life is much, much more peaceful having accepted things as they are.
