First of all, eating fish more that 2-3 times a week is bad for you simply because of the mercury content in fish.
There are 2 web pages that can be helpful for you.

www.mercola.com
www.atlasgal.com (you can get additional advise from a Dr. from here.)
I hope these help.
What company you buy from is just important as what you buy. I NEVER buy my vitamins from grocery/pharmacy stores.
You are very right in asking about proper nutrients. Nutrition for your brand new baby is so important right now! NOW is what determines weather or not he/she will have strong immune system, asthma, allergies, Strong body, etc. Nutrition NOW determines the rest of his/her life! Although quality vitamins are expensive they don't have to be TOO expensive. Quality isn't entirely determined by price.

Another thing I would encourage is chiropractic care for your infant. Did you know a proper adjustment can cure colic? Ear infections? There is a lot of stress on the baby when being born.

Congratulations on the new baby. Enjoy the journey of motherhood!

Synthetic vitamins are very poorly processed by the body. Eat well and take superfood suppliments like floradix, alfalfa, red raspberry leaf, etc.
