If you do, and you could change your name, what you change it to? Why do you feel it suits you better than your birth name?

My name generally means "Christian-one". Ironic, since I am athiest. I don't think I have reason to change it though, i've gone this far, and it has become part of my personality. I don't know very many other people with the same name, but I know it is common enough.

If I ever were to change my name, it would have to be something original though.

I've had my name for so long now that I probably wouldn't respond to any other - so although it is a bit old fashioned and there are not many of my name around I think I will stick with it. When I was very young I wanted to be called Loretta for some now, unknown reason - thank goodness I wasn't.

yes i used to feel that way, seeing as when i was at high school almost all the kids took the piss out of it, as well as me for having it. but as i grew up, i realised its not so bad. so no, not really. does it mean anything? not to my knowledge it doesn't. i'm not even sure. but its good to have a name that no one has, or of which not that many people have. last time i checked, last year i think it was, i was on the internet and found out there was a person who hailed from america who had the same name as myself!

Holy CRAP, yes!

Luckily my parents didn't let me change it, or I'd be Jasmine now. I don't mean that's a bad name, but it's just not me. I did change the spelling though.

I don't have another name for myself. I've gotten used to my own. When I think of myself, I'm just me; no name attached.

I so wish I had been given a nicer christian name because I hate mine, ever since I can remember I wanted to be called Lucy.

Yes, because my parents thought it was novel when they gave it to me (30 years ago), but there were 10 people with the same name in my class when I left school (though they didn't all spell it the same).

Growing up I hated my name "Summer". But over time I have really came to like it and I think it fits me well. I would not change it.

No, I like mine, I like that nobody can pronounce it, makes me feel special!!!!

Not so fond of my surname, its kinda long and doesnt fit on any form i've ever had to fill in. So wouldn't mind changing it to something short.
