What stage in the setup are you?

If you just put it together, this is the likely result of the sand you put in your tank. Aragonite and crushed coral, for example, will make the water cloudy for a few days, until it settles.

Is your liverock in? Even cured live rock will go through a death/re-birth process when placed in a new tank. The dying organisms trigger a bacterial bloom which will cloud the tank.

If you added fish too soon (once your LR is in, you need to wait at least 4 weeks before adding fish) this can also trigger a bacterial bloom.

You can just let it settle. If it does not, do small water changes on a daily basis, and make you have adequate amounts of liverock. A protein skimmer will help you in the future to keep your water clean, too.

This is often the case with a new saltwater tank. Typically it is because of the sand used in the tank. When it's not rinsed thoroughly before it is put in the tank there is a lot of dust in it.

When you setup your tank this dust becomes suspended in the water. Eventually it will settle out of the water and back down to the bottom.

Yes wait on til the salt settles and the chemicals take effect on preparing your tank, usually it takes longer for a salt water tank than for a regular water thank.
