There are many athletes like T.O. that are just plain trouble makers. Things have been like that in pro and now even collegiate sports for quite some time. Part of the problem is that we tolerate these types of athletes and then act surprised when they do something wrong. As long as owners are willing to pay them there are always going to be people like T.O. That's why I think it's very important to not introduce these types of people as role models to our children. Alot of these individuals who do things they are not supposed to will never understand that they have a responsiblity to the kids that wear their jerseys to act as a productive citizen should. Their are many other people better suited as role models in our communities. I personally try my best to be one of them. The problem is that I am not someone you see on T.V. so I can only affect those close to my family.
But to me I think it's a good start.

1st of all TO is not suppose to be a role model to your kids. Maybe his kids when he has some but not to yours. You should be your kids role model. It says that no were on his contract and in the job description to be a role model for kids. TO wants people to talk about him. He loves to be hated. He gets under your skin and thats what he likes. I dont understand why everybody falls for it. If we never payed attention to TO again he would probably have a fit and go kill somebody or something so we can talk about him. TO is an excellent player and we cant deny that. I am one of his biggest fans but I must admit that now it's becoming a MENTAL issue. When said that he was not happy in that interview with Michael Irvin that confirmed to me that he needed to be diagnosed with some type of mental disorder. What reason could you have for not being happy? You are Rich, you got the money you wanted with another team in Dallas. You have a hall of fame coach. You got a new QB that throws you the ball all the time. You lead the league in TD catches. You are on a winning team. Now if this does not make you happy than there is no situation of happiness that exist for TO. And spitting in Dangelo Halls face was one thing but telling him after the game "I heard you got beat up after the club". Lol! WTF is that about. I could not defend that because it was an actual on the field incident. But as far as his off the field antics why do we pay so much attention to them? I will leave you with this. If we are so concerned with players off the field then what is the point of going to the game?

Were all forgetting, despite his actions, he is after all, a good player. He makes mistakes, probably more than most, but he has helped the team come a long ways. Im no Cowboys fan or a T.O. fan, but I dont know if the team would be as good without him and Romo. Besides, how would one expect someone to get kicked out of the NFL for being unpopular?

Because even though he's a complete ***, he's an outstanding football player. No one can question his ability or toughness after that performance in the Super Bowl. It is too bad however, that he chooses to be such a poor example of dignity and sportsmanship though. I hope he gets his act together before he truly alienates himself forever from the football world.

believe it or not - the nfl profits when somebody like t.o. causes controversy because it improves ratings - and ratings = revenue
he is a bad example for kids and makes it hard to root for -
however - let's face it, though a classless act - it's not like
he punched somebody in the groin, that would warrant a suspension

Because the media keeps covering this retard. He wasn't doing anything on the field so he had to spit in Hall's face to get attention. Now since he still on the TV everyday he will get more publicity that will lead to more $$$$ overriding his 35K fine. He is a retard and I hate see his ugly face on TV.

Because the guy is talented and he helps teams win games. As long as he's catching T.D. passes then he'll be getting paid. Like it or not, T.O. is probably here to stay.
