You have to look at it from an economic vantage point, not a military vantage point. Because China and South Korea are the 1st and 4th largest holders of foreign reserves (of US dollars), it would not be in the US's best economic interest to attack North Korea. In all actuality, despite Bush's rhetoric, they want stability in NE Asia to keep the economic engine going.

certainly no longer. North Korea is mad that the United countries punished them with sanctions for North Korea's contemporary (and unlawful) nuclear checks. the U. S. is a member of the UN management: the UN secure practices Council. the U. S. performed a key function in getting those sanctions utilized. North Korea's attempting to scare the U. S. into getting those sanctions bumped off or decreased. purely North Korea won't be able to certainly stick to by using on any of its threats. in the event that they do, it will smash the UN ceasefire that halted the Korean conflict of 1950-fifty 3 and North Korea would be at conflict with the UN lower back. And the long checklist of UN worldwide places that liberated South Korea for the time of that conflict: Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Ethiopia, France, Greece, India, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, and usa. it particularly is a conflict North Korea lost, and has no opt to end dropping. North Korea's in accordance with human beings being too dumb to understand all those issues and that the U. S. will purely provide North Korea what it needs in substitute for North Korea calming down & behaving itself lower back.

No I think the Iraq experience will discourage that kind of thing for a long time. I really question whether N Korea is as dangerous as they want us to believe.
China or Japan should be left in charge of squishing "Lil Kim" if and when they decide it needs to be done. Better yet, the North Koreans should rise up against him, maybe in conjunction with S. Korea. Time for the US to do a little less world micro-managing.

Hold on. George Bush and Bill Clinton are in my house. We're having some beers and watching Girls Gone Wild. I'll ask them.
Bill, Do you think your army should attack North Korea ?
Bill; " First of all. I'd like to clear something up. I did not have sexual relations with Miss Monica Lewinsky. Now, let me get back to watching girls gone wild. " Now I'll ask Bush.
George, what about you ?
" (Laughter), North Korea is in the axis of Evil. Bolo Yeung is an evil martial artist. Who tried to defeat Bruce Lee. But, Bruce Lee is good and so he won. Bolo Yeung took stereroids to achieve his massive pectoral muscles inorder to have roles in Enter The Dragon and BloodSport. The American people and our allies will not stand for such evil acts as stereroid muscle and athletic enhancements in the free and democratic world. We believe that North Korea is stock piling undergorund arsenals of illigal stereroids and blood doping products and this is a threat to civilization. "

No, for what reason should they? North Korea is no threat to the U.S., our concern is only the stability of the region, South Korea for example. The same reason of our concern over Iran in that area, Israel and Iraq.
