The next big story, already beginning to happen, is a slow down in the US economy. If it gathers pace, it could lead to a worldwide slowdown, a slump or even a complete collapse.
Hope not. Keep watching the screens and check the stock market from time to time.
The first indicator of a slowdown is the construction industry. So long as they're building, things should be okay. If sites stop work and shut down, this is bad.

Aliens will land on Earth and war will break out between George W Bush and the rest of the world over just what is meant by the phrase "take me to your leader" as he thinks it should be him and everyone else thinks the UN secretary-general should speak for the planet. As a result, relations on the Security Council between the UN and America break down completely and the UN HQ is moved to Geneva in Switzerland. Dubya then learns that the aliens are ruled by an evil overlord and have lots of oil, whereupon he declares war against the aliens but their death rays blow the country out of the water completely.

Anna Nicole Smith's death was an eye-opener. O.J. Simpson back in jail and in trouble again was a nice gift for all of us. For some of us movie buffs, the announement that Harrison Ford is finally filming the new "Indiana Jones" movie was the best news.

Probably, during the Scottish elections in May.
If the Scottish National Party [SNP] gain power in the Scottish Parliament, they will ensure that Scotland gains complete independence from the rest of the United kingdom.
Then there will be a "Bay of Tonkin" incident in the Arabian Gulf that will justify an Anglo/American assault on Iran.
Currently, there are several US/UK battle groups deployed in the Gulf region just itching for the moment.
Hence Tony Blair's tongue in cheek warning over Iran, today [20/12/06]
