You can control your period better if you are taking the pill.
I would just wear a liner when you are due to bide you some time in case you are stuck in a meeting and cannot be excused.

They have birth control pills that can now keep your periods to about three to four times a year. It is also common knowledge that birth control pills can give you other issues such as weigh gain-enough said. The best thing for you to do is dedicate some trial periods and time them. Mark on your calendar when you started and when you ended. Then count the days between the last and next. That way you should not be too surprised on the fifth or so after you get going. The days should be an average of 28 days. Those are the days that you should "not" wear white and not be walking around without a back up sweater or long jacket for those little accidents. Always keep some tampons and/or pads somewhere in your usual hangout area. Set your alarm on your cell to remind you and listen to your body because usually the week before the cramps will alert you. Don't allow your period to control your life by stressing over how to delay it because it's doing a wonderful work within your body, but you control your period by letting yourself know that you got what it takes to handle it. As for me I just wear a pad daily unless I'm going to be with a special someone because it's just more sanitary for me and generally I've been glad I was expecially when my period came.

Delaying your period on purpose can throw your system off balance if you're not careful. You are supposed to menstruate regularly. If you take birth control pills, they help to control ovulation in an effort to control when you get pregnant. A certain type of pill can possibly prevent your period. See your doctor for your specific needs.
As for not wearing pads, you should carry at least two in your purse at all times. The thin, wrapped ones are lightweight and easy to carry. Pantyliners daily are a good idea. Keep a calendar of your cycle so you will see what your pattern is. Pay attention to your body's signals that you're ovulating and approaching your period.

No masturbating will not delay your period. Delaying your period is not healthy and you will regret messing with your system. If you are having a hard time with your period, for instance irregular periods you can always take birth control and you will know exactly when your going to start. But it is totally unhealthy for a woman not to have a period for long periods of time.

I'm sure that is just an old wives tale. You can't delay your periods - they're just natural occurences that happen when they want.
Why not just wear a tampon or panty liner on the day's you're expecting your period, or carry them around with you in your bag so you won't be caught out.

It is safe to delay your period using birth control pills. I have been doing it for two years with no ill effects. If you decide you want to be on the pill--and there are some definite cons to doing this--Talk to your gynecologist.

There are those that say it will and there are those who say it will bring them on faster.
My simplest advice is to simply wear a panty liner or thin maxi on the days you're expecting your period to start; that way you're protected from accidents and don't have to worry about embarrassing situations.

No thats crap! The only way is to get tablets off your doctor or if you take the pill then just carry on taking it,but dont do this all the time, your body needs to get rid of the blood.

no, that's not true at all...but, if you're on the pill and want to delay your period you can skip the last week of pills and start a new pack.
