Yes I think about that sometimes. What if I'm actually lying in a coma somewhere and this is all happening inside my head. It's good to think about this stuff every so often, in my opinion. Keeps things interesting.

Yes I spent several years with this thought at the back of my mind. Eventually I decided that even if the whole world is an illusion, it is all I know, and it is an illusion that is having a continuous effect on me, so I might as well assume it is real.

I am sure everyone has thoughts like this every now and then. But it is also a very self centered way of thinking, that everything is an illusion and that the world revolves around you. Reason tells me its not true. The scary thoughts that go around around my head make me wonder.

Nope. But you're in good company, as so many people have had similar thoughts over the centuries that there's a word for it: "solipsism." You can read about it in some detail here:

But if you're just dreaming and I'm a creation of your mind, then you already knew that.

many people feel that way. There can be two ways why one can feel this way.1 it happens when you look at life from the outside.
2.u know ur self best and we spend most of our time thinking about ourselves....my life..my job...my hapiness...its always me me me no wonder we fell we're the only ones that exist.
And ofcourse sometimes we're all irritated and pissed off with our lives we wonder if all this is just a dream.and sometimes we think people are unbeleivable not realizing they just reflect us...we think they are not even real

I tell my kids to think about the idea all the time. We have ZERO proof that any of this is real. We have never been able to bridge the gap between the mind and the physical world.

But I think that Disneyland is probably real.

I have thought this many times. The rug was kind of pulled out from under me when I first watched "The Truman Show," though.
