I am afraid that I am going to bother. The Independant, isn't independant, it is left wing, like the Guardian and the Observer. There is already enough lefty/liberal nonsense coming out from the TV media, this government, the teaching profession, public sector etc. So, the true patriots of this country are represented by The Mail, the Telegraph, The Daily Express. I presume you are a supporter of this government, and probably a bit left of centre.

that's almost actual not taking position interior the united kingdom. The Labour get at the same time were given into power in 1997 with the help of shifting to the right and forsaking a number of their extra socialist options. the united kingdom is a lot a lot less Marxist or socialist than it replaced into beforehand 1979 at the same time as Thatcher grew to change into PM, and the Labour get at the same time is now basically yet another centre-good get at the same time. Industries and amenities that were nationalised beforehand 1979 have not been renationalised with the help of Labour - trains, gas, telecoms, and so on. at the on the spot are all deepest businesses and this represents a huge step faraway from socialism. also, for the period of Labour's 13 years in authorities, the income hollow between the richest and the poorest has actual higher. lower than a strict socialist or communist society, the hollow would have decreased critically. you need to argue that the united kingdom is transforming into extra authoritarian although. we've seen a huge develop interior using CCTV and police are allowed to save human beings in custody for longer with out trial (Ant-terrorism regulations.) on the turn area to that's the liberty of information Act, which has allowed human beings interior the united kingdom to receive a lot extra information about what's taking position in authorities and public bodies.

I read the Daily Mail as stands up for the values and concerns of the majority of the British people and some times the Daily Express. The Guardian on the other hand seems to stand for the values and politics of the Metropolitan Liberal Elite ( Chattering Classes) you only have to read Polly Toynbee and her love of the nanny state and its also Anti American.

The Times, nice long read when there is nothing to do at work, plus the sports pages are the best anywhere and are reasonably unbiased to smaller teams in the premiership unlike all the tabloids

is all about the guardian for me. used to read the indy, but has become quite tabloid in its reporting recently. A founding principle of the so-called broadsheets is that you do not editorialise on the front page, and the indy has been doing that a lot lately. Is really good for conservation/environment issues though.

The Daily Mail. Totally biased and well worth a read. Anti Tony and his cronies. Gets my vote every time. Sunday Post at the weekend. Daft as a brush in places, almost 1950's sometimes. great read. Good Ol' DC's!

You ask a question and then tell people who give a reply you don't line (i.e. Daily Mail readers!) not to bother???

Why the hell did YOU bother? And yes, I'm a Mail reader...I also read the Times and the Guardian on a reg, but no doubt they offend you too...

Mine is The Guardian, closely followed by The Independent (I actually read the Independent on Sunday).

I also like to check-out The Times and Daily Telegraph websites to read what the centre-right and loony-right are saying, but I won't do them the pleasure of paying for their newspaper!
