Rain is the condensation process by which water vapor that evaporates from the surface of earth reaches back into the earth taking liquid water form. The surface tension keeps the rain water drops together and when it hits our body the water molecules gets attached to the cloths and the skin making us wet.

I don't know except that rain is made of H2O - but have you noticed that when it rains, the inside of spectacles get wet faster than the outsides?

Water has cohesive forces which hold drops of water0together.When the cohesive forces are beaten by adhesive forces such as that between skin and water,the surface tension of each droplet is broken and hence it sticks to the skin making us wet
