from the UK, Most flights will land in one of the larger international airports.... possible routes would be -
Heathrow/Gatwick to places like -
Chicago
Atlanta
New York Kennedy
Detroit
Then you will easily get a domestic flight on to Nashville..
For info , if you try going British Airways they Fly to Chicago O Hare and change for Nashville...

Nashville has an international airport, but you will probably land in NY and then catch another plan to Nashville... I doubt you can get a direct flight .

Well, it depends on what city each airline uses as a hub city. Delta Airlines uses Atlanta, Georgia to connect most flights. United Airlines uses Chicago, Illinois. From the UK though, you will most probably fly into New York City (or Boston) and catch a direct flight to Nashville, TN.
If you go to Orbitz.com, they will give you each airline and each flight from the UK to Nashville. Just enter the information -- cities and dates of arrival and depature:

The somewhat optimistically named "Nashville International Airport" web site lists only one airport outside the US which has direct flights to and from Nashville : Toronto.
http://www.flynashville.com/
..so you will have to change when flying from the UK.
I just checked on yahoo travel and most flights from London to Nashville change at NY, Philadelphia or Newark.
