Now, I am usually not a Spears' fan, but this whole cheap shot at her over being "World's Worst Celeb Dog Owner" has really got me steamed---and not at the little skanklet this time. According to the Yahoo! story, she has won this vote simply by giving away her three dogs. That's it?! I was expecting to hear that she kicked them or didn't feed them or something horrible, but all she did was give the little guys to a friend after she had her boys! As a mother, I can understand not being able to juggle children, a husband and pets. It's difficult to take care of yourself most days, muchless a few pooches to add to the chaos! If you ask me, I think she made a good decision not insisting on keeping the animals and inadvertantly neglecting them while trying to care for her own children- who are infinitely more important than a few dogs. Whoever decided she won the vote was disturbed. How pathetic are we that we are consumed more over some animal's welfare than we are our own children

Don't you think that if this was some publicity stunt her publicist would have found something more riveting than giving her dogs away to a friend? I agree she's made some big mistakes parenting, but how is her giving her dogs to a better home qualify her as the worst dog owner? That was the best thing that could happen to the little guys! With the half wit she functions under while raising her children, she should have been voted Worst Celeb Parent!

I agree. She may not have conciously made the right decision, but at least they're being better taken care of which made it the right decision after all. The media really went overboard in naming her World's Worst for that and I'm sure it has everything to do with the whole animals-over-people mentality. I'm all for animals AND people, but never is an animal is more important than a human. As for her kids, I hope she is at least trying to do what's best for them despite the all the blunders in the past and become a good mom.

I agree with your views as a Mom, but Britney hasn't been Mother of the Year so far. Photographed with her baby on her lap in a car, almost having a baby fall out of the stroller, crotch shots, and partying, the man she hooked up with to father her kids (a guy who left his pregnant girlfriend). She didn't give those dogs away to be a good Mom and people may be getting as sick of her antics as those of Tom Cruise.

I hate it but I agree. She did the responsible thing as long as she gave the pooches to a responsible person one who can show the dogs the attention and time they need. I think the people who voted must have been PETA people. After all they think animals should take precedence over people.

She doesn't care. She just wants attention back because she has been out of the loop for 2 years. She could have been a major pop force if she hadn't married that Kevin. But now she is a washed up has been with no ability to make a comeback. She just wasted two years.

It was her publicists way of keeping her in the spot light. If she doesn't make the news once in awhile people may forget about her. Not that it would be a bad thing.

well, it obviously bothered you enough to make u want to ask a question about it...that's what celebs want... every time there are in the news, or on the cover of a magazine, you know that they get something out of the deal... publicists want people to talk about celebs, so that their not forgot about...
