Well most people think that "sorry" is an instant fix. Its suppose to make everthing all better, but it doesnt! But its the nice thing to do...society says so!
I dont do it. I rarely say sorry. Sorry to me means there was something you could do to prevent the situation. If a tornado comes down my street, picks up my car and throws it into your house well thats too bad but I am not sorry. The good thing is when I say it people know I mean it.
It drives me crazy to hear people say it too much.
I get tired of meaniless words like people saying "how are you" just to take up air space. Again if I ask someone how they are it means I really give a crap.
But then again alot of my friends tell me I have some sort of autism as I dont understand nor abide by these stupid society rituals.

No, Sorry I don't. Actually we all do to some extent but you have to try and not say it for everything. My wife says sorry if she doesn't hear me instead of saying pardon. Some say it is caused by an episode in childhood where the child has been made to feel at blame. You can get help for this if you suffer from this type of problem. It is also a sign of someone that is being domineered in some way.

I often say sorry. The number of times I've actually felt truly remorseful are very few.
Be realistic, the word is used as social KY Jelly, it does not have to mean you are actually sad about something you've done.

Seldom. I will tell someone that I apologize, but if I say I'm sorry, I really mean I am SORRY.

I dont but my students do. I frequently lecture them on their innability to be genuine. It is very hard to get across to people that they should only say what they truly mean. When I yell at them for talking, they say sorry but do it again as soon as I am done... ie, they truly are not sorry. They dont get it.

There are many possible reasons why, which one??? You should've more specific...

Possible, probably, maybe, people juzt force you to say it, or, you juzt hit someone by purpose because you hate them and say sorry sarcastically, or, you take something in purpose and say sorry without meaning it... THERE ARE TONS OF REASONS WHY PEOPLE DON'T SAY SORRY BUT DON'T MEAN IT!!!

or maybe people juzt didn't learn to love and don't have any feelings.

It is best to never apologise and to never explain when something has not gone to plan - so I very rarely say sorry unless I really mean it.

Not usually...I have to mean it, except when I do something that I don't think I should have to say sorry for, then I say...Sooooooooory!!!

Just English language has got too many 'sorrys', the same thing with please, if you don't say you sound rude. I say sorry quite often when it's not necessary
