When you install the University expansion, make sure you're not installing it in the same place that you installed the base game; otherwise the University files will overwrite the base game files and won't work. If that's what happened, the only way to get your game to work again is to uninstall all expansion packs and the base game and reinstall them. If you didn't back up your saved game files before attempting to install the expansion, I hate to say it but you'll have to start everything over from scratch and build up new families. =( Hope this helps though and good luck getting it to work again. =)

First, do you own Sims 2 Original or Sims 2 Holiday? Also, try reinstalling the Sims 2 University the way EA Games says too. You'll have to go to thier site and find it. It's a long list and it requires you to play with the registry but it worked for me so it should for you. Hope I helped :)

sometimes if you have custom content in your downloads folder it will not allow you to install a new game until you take it out. To take the folder out, right click on it and say "Cut" and then copy it somewhere other than under the EA Games folder.

Then start up your game to make sure all the downloads are out, install the pack and voila!

Otherwise, I would use the steps on the Sims 2 website under help. Whenever I have a question about installation they actually have people to answer them.... in person! It's pretty awesome. Make sure you include your pack registration numbe when you talk to them. I believe the link is under help. Make sure you read the FAQ first!

And also, make sure your computer has the capabilities to run the game ;)
