Message to Centurian. Here is the UK we still have the right to express our thoughts honestly without fear of the wrath of an oppressive government which the United States population has.

This would make things even worse i think. I also think that there are alot of other ways to get rid of him and the best is to convince the americans that they do not have to afraid anything that the terrorism fear is a fake fear and that the only one they must be afraid of is him and the system that supports him. The americans have a bad thing whatever they vote or believe they take very serious everything their president says. If that president was kennedy that would be fine but now it is a disaster.

Not sure if it is wrong but if it happened you, the Taliban, the North Koreans, the Iranians, Asama Bin Laden can all throw a block party.

You seem to think the same way as some interesting people.

I do not know about the federal law but in democracy u have the freedom of expression what u feel but that does not mean that u can propagate these views for public consumpsion there by inciting people to do what according to u is pleasing fantacy.

Who would the USA invade in the aftermath of Bush's assassination?

You bet they would make as much political capital out of such an event, maybe martial law, invasion of anyone who could be accused of being part of the assassination.

For those reasons, I think assassinating Bush would be a bad thing for every free thinking person in the world.

Fantastic, then Dick Cheney will be president ;-) I'm just guessing, but I don't think this is what you would want either. Personally, I would feel terrible if any US president was assassinated. I had a sick, sick feeling when I learned that Reagan had been shot. Its terrible and a shock for the nation when anything like this happens.

Be careful putting things like that up on the 'net. Seriously.

EDIT: In response to your 'message to Centaurian' - please, don't be naive. I am in the UK too and we have JUST as much to fear as they do.

If you don't believe me, do a search on the net for 'Military Commissions Act 2006'. Bush signed this recently meaning he has the ability to detain ANYONE, ANYWHERE in the world if he deems them to be an 'enemy combatant' which can include writing anything he considers to be critical of his policies.

You no longer have the right to a trial and you can be imprisoned indefinitely. It is not limited to Americans. So, be careful.

Well, I wouldn't say that too loud, you might be having the secret service show up at your doorstep. Censorship is a hot topic in the media and government. Be careful what you say. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Is it wrong? Don't know.

There is a natural dilemma involved in counting a death against other benefits. Is it ever moral to kill?...or in this case celebrate a death?

I would suggest that one might mourn the loss of the life but at the same time welcome the preservation of so many other lives.
A neccessary evil?

WOW!!! All that freedom and democracy and look how scared all the americans are of their own government!!!!

It wouldn't bother me, but then we'd have Cheney and that would be even worse. Having lived through the JFK assassination though, I wouldn't wish that on the country despite my disdain for Bush.
