I was riding on a four wheeler this past weekend and unfortunately had an accident. I was thrown over the handlebars did a flip and landed on my left side and back area. Ever since Sunday I have had a discomfort ,swelling, and bruising from the hard landing.Now, I am a big guy (6'2'', 275 lbs..),what may have occured in terms of my injuries.....I have no broken bones, but the swelling and pain makes it hard to start walking or to be comfortable at all.

Sounds like you bruised ribs and maybe you put your back out of wack. My suggestion, go see a chiropractor and see if he can't give you some relief. He may want to let you heal a little before you are seen.
He has a product called Formula 303 it is all natural and is a great muscel relaxant. Give it a try. Put ice on the area and then heat.
Now for the other part. I do hope you had a helmet on. Sounds like you hit a rock. We used to 4-wheel and to this date we have been fortunate enough not to have had a accident, they are very dangerous and because you are in rough terrain the landings as you have found out are worse than pavement at times.
I am just grateful that you weren't hurt bad enough to be in a coma. This is gods warning...heed the warning. Be careful, enjoy the 4 wheeler...take it easy, you will heal - 6-8 weeks!!!
