Merry Christmas mean absolutely nothing to me. I am a born again christian and not a merry christmas christians. Many and those who will one week be celebrating the what they call the feast of Jesus when they don't have the least relationship with Him. Many are those who will even celebrate in bars and such will also be saying they are celebrating the feast of Christ.
Quel Noel sans Christ?

merry means having a beer and an Ale in each hand and warm freinds smiling all the time.
however, Christmas used to mean drunken orgies and strong arming the rich in the nameof good living. because of the public lewdness and unrighteous activities throughout history, christmas was Outlawed, until the middle o fthe 19th century when Christians changed the drunken episodes with family values so Christmas has become a more meaningful tradition, instead of the season of Pagan rituals and unrighteous drunkenness

To me it means stop being so nasty in your life to everyone around you and be just a bit more kind. Take down your guard, share warmly with others, give your seat up on the bus to someone who needs it more than you, let someone in in traffic, don't give them the finger, have a wee bit more patience. And say "thank you" to others, no matter how poorly they address your personal needs at that moment. Its a small bit of time that we can be conscious of how we treat others and not just on Christmas morning when you open your gifts.

Happy Yule. The returning of the light from darkness. We celebrate ours on December 21. Jesus wasn't really born on Dec 25 Christianity made it that way to try to take our holiday away. If you think of it, the Immaculate Conception date was a few weeks ago. As far as I know Mary didn't have a speedy pregnancy. Most take 9 months. So Jesus was conceived in December which would make his birth month September.
