are there any free programs out there??? I need to keep updating a site. Please help.

Well there is 1st Page 2006 http://www.evrsoft.com/. Its free HTML and other stuff editor. I don't like that version but I have a copy of the older 1st Page 2000 that is much better. If you want a copy send me a message with your email address and I can send you the old one.

Have a look at NVU (pronounced V-View) which is free, open source and very good.

It includes WYSIWYG editing of pages and inbuilt FTP etc etc.

On the other hand (if you have your own domain) you should examine the range of CMS (Content Management Systems) out there. They are a quick install and easily edited with a WYSIWYG editor live on-line. Some of them don't even require a database behind the scenes.
