hi matey - plug in the usb cable to your mp3 player - and other end into usb port of p.c.
that should install it - if not go to start menu and go to computer - there should be something called drive e - open it - it will be empty - now make the box small but not vanish - then open your music file (where your music is) then drag the music you want to the e folder - once you have all the song you want - then just unplug the mp3 player from pc - plug in earphones and play viola! hope this helps

properly the CD is rather *non-obligatory* because interior those mp4/mp3 cd's are merely firmware enhancements. which skill merely make the interface or the seems, more beneficial. I actually have mp4/mp3 participant nano-like and not in any respect got here with cd yet many stated its actual a non-obligatory element. And convinced, those gamers are crappy'ish because they have 3 hours of play music time and would actual be damaged if no longer treated. also, for the music, its merely drag and drop .mp3 format songs. which skill you'll get them from everywhere on the internet or use Limewire (or similar application) to get songs. no favor for iTunes. Hopes this helps somewhat.

connect player through the usb ports and go to my computer and see the new drive letter click on it and there it is and if it does not show up then it is not compatible with lower usb ports like usb 1.0 or usb 1.1 so u will have to go to best buy and buy a usb pci card that will allow u to use your player and if that dosent work then its not compatible with win 98 se and u need to upgrade to win xp pro or home
