I have been off the pill for 2 months. Was on it for 4 years. I missed my period the first month and this month i have only had spotting for 2 -3 days. The spotting was more like brown/pink mucus. I do not have any other symptoms of pregnancy. What does this mean? Thanks

I was on the pill for years and it took several months for my body to regulate itself. Sometimes you will not get a "normal" period for months, and you may get a period-like bleeding without even ovulating. I would take a preg. test to be sure, but give it time. This is the reason why many drs recommend that you wait to try to concieve until your cycle is normal once you go off the pill. It makes it hard to know when to try and hard to know what your body is doing. Unfortunately, birth control pills do a number of things to your body and when pulled off of them, the body takes a while to return to normal again.

Your body is probably just getting used to being off the pill. I was on for 12 years and my period took about 4 months to become regulated after coming off. It's a bit of a shock to your system. Give it a couple more months.

Hi. I was recently on the pill for only 3 weeks and had to get off due to high risk of clotting. You just described exactly what happened to me when I stopped taking them.
It might just be your body getting used to the change. Good luck

This could mean that your body is just trying to regulate itself on its own without the birth control for help. You might want to wait and see what happens next month and then if nothing changes go to the doctor.
